Integration, creativity and team spirit - trainee project “Lebenswelten J. MÜLLER” successfully completed

Brake, 23.06.2025 - The cameras are off, the editing is done - the short films of our training project “Lebenswelten J. MÜLLER” are in the can! The result is a series of moving and authentic short films in which employees from different cultural and national backgrounds tell their personal stories.

The special feature: The films were conceived, shot and produced by our trainees under the professional guidance of the “Lebenswelten Wesermarsch” project. In the process, our junior staff not only expanded their technical skills in film production, but also gained valuable experience in team building, communication and intercultural cooperation.

“We are proud that this project not only helps to promote integration in our company, but also strengthens the commitment and creativity of our trainees,” says Antje Streicher, Head of HR at J. Müller. In future, the films will be presented at internal and public events and via our social media channels, making diversity in the company visible.

Highlight: First prize award

The project had already generated enthusiasm in November: at the award ceremony hosted by the Nordwest Mediengruppe, laudator Stephanie von Unruh praised: “Here, training and humanity go hand in hand.” The concept impressed the jury with its integrative approach, the courage to be open and the strong teamwork - and was awarded first prize.

Trainees as storytellers - intensive preparation included

Before filming, the trainees completed a workshop lasting several days. In addition to filming techniques and conducting interviews, topics included dealing with social media, fake news and artificial intelligence. Together with the “Lebenswelten Wesermarsch” team, they developed a professional film concept.

One of the most impressive stories comes from Gvantsa Lukhava, an apprentice at J. MÜLLER. Born in Abkhazia [Georgia] in 2005, she has been living in Brake since May 2023. Her personal story is moving: "I wanted to show that you can't give up even in the most difficult times. This project touches my heart and creates understanding and connection," she says.

However, the project is by no means over with the successful completion of the filming. The resulting films are the prelude to further activities: the films will be presented at external and internal events, such as the next works meeting, and used on social media channels and at trade fairs - making diversity, cohesion and active integration at J.MÜLLER visible.
