epas complements the logistic network in the field of wind energy

Emden, 15th July 2021 | First sea ship loading with wind turbine components for a leading manufacturer of wind turbines from the southern Emsland. machine head, gears and hubs were delivered to the north quay by barge. The export now takes place.

 This weekend epas loaded, components of wind power plants in Emden on the north quay that were delivered by barge from southern Emsland. The components consist of the machine head, the hub and the drive train with a unit weight of over 100 t.

epas stores the components temporarily and prepares them for export: they are reloaded onto ocean-going vessels for worldwide projects. The first inland vessels have already been unloaded, and the loading of seagoing vessels is planned. Emden was able to prevail over other North Sea ports and scores with its reliability. “We are looking forward to a pleasant cooperation and to the further development of our portfolio!” Says Florian Harms, authorized representative at epas.
