Seaport of Brake

The Seaport of Brake has established itself alongside the major European ports, with state-of-the-art port infrastructure and versatile cargo handling. The multi-functional seaport is a heavily frequented cargo handling hub – for instance for agricultural goods that are discharged and stored here in Europe’s largest coherent silo facility. Modern self-service systems allow the further transport by truck around the clock.

Project cargo loading takes place via the 450-meter-long flagship terminal Niedersachsen Quay, which is equipped with the latest handling technology. Here, large-scale heavy-duty surfaces are available for storage, consolidation, assembly, and maintenance – among other things for wind energy components. This seaport also specializes in the loading and unloading of forest products, which can be optimally treated and stored thanks to the excellent port infrastructure. This makes Brake the largest import port for cellulose – with more than one million metric tons of cargo handled each year.

The Seaport of Brake offers flexibility and tailor-made solutions – thanks to trimodal hinterland connections, extensive land potential, and storage opportunities, specialized handling technology, and years of know-how.
