Maritime Experts at the Port of Emden
Members of the "Strategic Council for the Maritime Economy of Weser-Ems" gained insight into the range of services offered by the seaport of Emden. After a meeting at the Seamen's Mission, Emden’s port representative Reinhard Hegewald invited the maritime industry experts from the Weser-Ems region on a tour through the Port of Emden. At the outer harbor, the group observed the handling of cars and forest products.
The tour concluded at the North Quay, from where Ems Ports Agency and Stevedoring Beteiligungs GmbH & Co. KG (epas), led by Managing Director Timo Siebahn, organizes the supply of offshore wind farms with personnel and materials.
The "Strategic Council for the Maritime Economy of Weser-Ems," chaired by Leer district administrator Matthias Groote, is committed to strengthening the maritime economy in the region. It serves as an important platform for pooling expertise and creating a future-oriented maritime economy in the Weser-Ems area.
