PRESS RELEASE

Central port marketing company in dialog with the port industry

At the invitation of the Emder Hafenförderungsgesellschaft e. V. (EHFG), the new management of Seaports of Niedersachsen GmbH paid an inaugural visit to the port of Emden. Inke Onnen-Lübben has been Managing Director of the central marketing company for the nine seaports in Lower Saxony, which is based in Oldenburg, since the beginning of the year. Also new at Seaports is Jonas Vogelsänger, who as Marketing & Communications Manager will primarily drive digital communication at the organization.

During a tour of Emden's outer and inland port, representatives of the Emden port industry informed the Seaports team about current developments, opportunities and the seaport's potential for expansion.

“The port of Emden is an international logistics hub for automobiles, forestry products and components for the offshore wind power industry. It is an important employer and significant value-adding factor in the region and is therefore an integral part of our universal port group in Lower Saxony, in which each of the nine seaports contributes its special expertise,” explained Onnen-Lübben. “As a port marketing organization, we communicate these strengths on the market and offer Lower Saxony's port industry platforms with our global trade fair appearances to maintain and expand customer contacts.”

This year, Seaports is organizing trade fair stands at WindEurope in Copenhagen, Intermodal South America in Sao Paulo, Breakbulk in Rotterdam and transport logistic in Munich. Representatives from the Emden port industry will once again take part in these trade fairs and present their range of logistics services to an international trade audience.

“For us as a marketing organization, it is important to always be informed about the current situation in Lower Saxony's seaport locations. We take away very valuable insights from the exchange with the Emden port industry for our work,” says Onnen-Lübben.
