Bulk cargo handling is one of the core competencies of the Seaports of Niedersachsen. The dry bulk handled here is quite diverse: In addition to iron ore and fertilizers, we also load and unload ocean-going vessels and barges with coal, which is temporarily stored in the ports and then conveyed to power plants in the hinterland as needed.

Even agricultural products, such as cereals, feedstock, or oilseeds are handled competently by experienced personnel. Our certifications for the handling and storage of cereals and vegetable feed in accordance with GMP+, QC, and O+S warrant the highest quality standards. For the construction industry in the region, the supply of bulk goods such as sand, crushed stone, and gravel is also centrally located. Minerals, peat, rock salt and scrap are on the agenda as well.
