The Port of Oldenburg is both a seaport and Lower Saxony’s most active inland port in terms of cargo throughput. As a central transport hub, the port offers customers in the Weser-Ems region the opportunity for direct transshipment to seagoing vessels, while also providing a comprehensive portfolio of port logistics services.

The port’s main cargo types include agricultural goods such as feed and feed additives, which are transported from Oldenburg to Europe and as far as the Middle East. In addition, the port supplies the fast-growing region with construction materials for local development projects. Scrap metal and other secondary raw materials are also exported from Oldenburg to destinations as far away as the Far East.
